this week’s blog post is brought to you by saskatchewan.

let me explain. (both why, and what a “saskatchewan” is).

i sat down at my usual time to write the blog (12am). ready to hit you with a new batch of rambles. but those rambles were blocked by spotty internet reception. i did what any semi literate nerd would do at first (pull plug on modem, plug back in). but no dice. i called the tech support line for the internet provider, and the conversation basically boiled down to something like this:

ME – Hi, my internet is down.

TECH – Did you pull out the plug from the modem?

ME – Uh, yeah.

TECH – Hmm. Well, I’m fresh out of ideas…

The thing is, this happened earlier this summer too. Internet went down randomly, tech had no idea why, i eventually asked for a support guy to come fix it. the earliest appointment they could set up was three weeks away, so until that point i just piggybacked off the terrible wireless networks in range. until the internet magically fixed itself.

but of course, that meant no blog post for last night. which brings me to why i am writing from “saskatchewan”. why, because it is my place of origin! a beautiful land of grass… and hoppers of grass. i’ve been sitting thinking of more ways to describe it but basically it is a prairie tundra. people hate driving through it because it is incredibly boring. a land of hicks and gophers.

and simply sitting in it, writing a blog post, has sapped me of all creativity. that’s not an excuse, for the first time in many months i actually have writer’s block.

i tell you what. im going to go to sleep, partake in canadian thanksgiving, gain 10 pounds, pass out, drive home, and next friday, on time, barring internet failure, i will deliver you the blog post to end all blog posts. or at least i will talk about sharks or something.
